So the chatroom, for those wondering is a CGI interface running off a private IRC server. This means that if you have an IRC client, you can connect to the chatroom remotely and not miss out on the fun. As of right now, since the site is still new and not everything is running perfectly, the chatroom is not completely integrated into the site. One of the biggest drawbacks to this is the need to log into the chatroom and the method of doing so is not very secure. By default, it will give you the username "Goony" with a 3-digit number following. You CAN and SHOULD change that before logging-in. It's recommended that you use the same username that you use for the site. Once logged-in, you should REGISTER your nick(name / username). you do this, by entering the following into the chat box:
| Code: |
/msg NickServ REGISTER password email
|
where "password" is your chosen password and "email" is your email address. Please note that the password IS case-sensitive, so PASSWORD, password, and Password are all different.
