when you enter a area and view a the index of threads could you space out the columns i.e

Yes, the css for the forum had a mode to just mask the site's but it clearly wasn't a very good transition, so I'm redoing the css for the forums to correct this. When finished, it should look more like the phpBB forum-style that we're used to from thegoonies.org with some obvious differences.

Right now, the only major issue with the message board is that the buttons to post, preview, and cancel have the same colour text as background and I can't seem to find where to fix that yet, but I will. if you mouse-over though, it says what the button does in the brown box above the message body.
