Fans gathered in downtown Astoria during the celebration in 2015 to enjoy a street fair and car display.
The Astoria Downtown Historic District Association promotions committee has teamed up with the Astoria-Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce to provide this list of THE RICH STUFF to complement the scheduled activities organized by the Clatsop County Historical Society. Calling all adventurers, explorers, and treasure seekers! Join the Cannon Beach History Center & Museum for The Great Cannon Beach Treasure Hunt on Friday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. This family-friendly event celebrates the 40th anniversary of The Goonies with a coastal twist, and it’s absolutely free to participate.
Follow a trail of clues through the museum’s exhibits to solve riddles and uncover secrets on your treasure map. Complete the quest to discover the hidden loot and win a prize! Along the way, you’ll learn about the local history of Cannon Beach, making this the perfect mix of fun and learning.
A Goonies-inspired photo booth will be set up for unforgettable snapshots, so don’t forget to strike a pose!
Admission is free, but as a private nonprofit museum, donations are gratefully accepted to help us continue offering fun and educational community events like this one.

Galactix
Galactix is hosting a rare 1980s Goonies gem: the Nintendo Vs. Goonies arcade machine! This restored Nintendo Red Tent arcade machine features the classic Goonies arcade game from 1986 by Konami. Released in the mid-80s, Nintendo’s Vs. dual-screen arcade machine was truly unique at the time of its release.
In the game (which was never offered for retail sale for the Nintendo home console in America), you guide Mike "Mikey" Walsh to get to One Eyed Willy's pirate ship, beating the Fratellis and rescuing the Goonies along the way.
We hope that your attendees revel in the opportunity to experience this rare gem while visiting Astoria.
